CHRIS PAULTRE

Chris Paultre is a Grammy-nominated producer, composer, and musician based out of New York, who specializes in film music, Pop, R&B, HipHop, and Jazz compositions.

Chris comes from an extensive musical background whose family includes the late great Duke Ellington. Not long after graduating with a degree in music engineering and performance, Chris began to produce under the camp of Pharell Williams and the Neptunes, Swizz Beats, Rich Harrison and Lupe Fiasco earning him a Grammy nomination, all the while lending his musical ingenuity and flair for jazz and classical piano to chart-topping records. In addition, Chris wrote and produced 4 singles for legendary singer Brian Mcknight’s final album Exodus in 2020.

Making his mark as a musician, producer, and songwriter would be the ever-growing foundation that would carry Chris over to the film industry. In 2012, Chris was asked to compose music for a two-part, four-hour documentary for PBS titled “180 Days: A Year Inside an American High School.” It was here that he was able to showcase his talent and passion for story-telling through music by blending live orchestration and percussion with creative and diverse soundscapes. This documentary went on to receive a Peabody Award in 2013.

Over the past 6 years Chris has scored music for several films, and documentaries. This includes the Netflix movies “Brotherly Love”, “Deuces”, “True to the Game”, and “The Trap” with Queen Latifa. While working on “Brotherly Love”, Chris was asked to score an upcoming film for Nickelodeon titled “Little Ballers”. Both of these films went on to receive nominations for the NAACP Image Award in that same year. In addition, his music has been featured on countless television shows as both score and theme songs for networks including Lifetime, MTV and BET just to name a few.
